适应症
(1)皮肤粘膜的过敏：适用于长期的、季节性的过敏性鼻炎，血管运动性鼻炎，过敏性结膜炎，尊麻疹，血管神经性水肿，对血液或血浆制品的过敏反应，皮肤划痕症。(2)晕动病：防治晕车、晕船、晕飞机。(3)用于麻醉和手术前后的辅助治疗，包括镇静、催眠、镇痛、止吐。(4)用于防治放射病性或药源性恶心、呕吐。
用法用量
肌内注射。成人用量：(1)抗过敏，一次25mg（0.5支），必要时2小时后重复；严重过敏时可用肌注25～50mg（0.5～1支），最高量不得超过100mg(2支)；(2)在特殊紧急情况下，可用灭菌注射用水稀释至0.25%，缓慢静脉注射；(3)止吐，一次12.5～25mg（0.25～0.5支），必要时每4小时重复一次；(4)镇静催眠，一次25～50mg（0.5～1支）。小儿常用量：(1)抗过敏，每次按体重0.125mg/kg或按体表面积3.75mg/m2，每4～6小时一次；(2)抗眩晕，睡前可按需给予，按体重0.25～0.5mg/kg或按体表面积7.5～15mg/m2，或一次6.25～12.5mg，每日三次；(3)止吐，每次按体重0.25～0.5mg/kg或按体表面积7.5～15mg/m2，必要时每4～6小时重复：或每次12.5～25mg，必要时每4～6小时重复；(4)镇静催眠，必要时每次按体重0.5～1mg/kg或每次12.5～25mg。
不良反应
异丙嗪属吩噻嗪类衍生物，小剂量时无明显副作用，但大量和长时间应用时可出现吩噻嗪类常见的副作用。(1)较常见的有嗜睡；较少见的有视力模糊或色盲（轻度），头晕目眩、口鼻咽干燥、耳鸣、皮疹、胃痛或胃部不适感、反应迟钝（儿童多见）、晕倒感（低血压）、恶心或呕吐（进行外科手术和并用其他药物时），甚至出现黄痘。(2)增加皮肤对光的敏感性，多恶梦，易兴奋，易激动，幻觉，中毒性谵妄，儿童易发生锥体外系反应。上述反应发生率不高。(3)心血管的不良反应很少见，可见血压增高，偶见血压轻度降低。白细胞减少、粒细胞减少症及再生不良性贫血则属少见。
禁忌
对本品过敏者禁用。
注意事项
(1)已知对吩噻嗪类药高度过敏的人，也对本品过敏。(2)下列情况应慎用：急性哮喘，膀胱颈部梗阻，骨髓抑制，心血管疾病，昏迷，闭角型青光眼，肝功能不全，高血压，胃溃疡，前列腺肥大症状明显者，幽门或十二指肠梗阻，呼吸系统疾病（尤其是儿童，服用本品后痰液粘稠，影响排痰，并可抑制咳嗽反射），癫痫患者（注射给药时可增加抽搐的严重程度），黄疽，各种肝病以及肾功能衰竭，Reye综合征（异丙嚷所致的锥体外系症状易与Reye档自合征混淆）。应用异丙嗪时，应特别注意有无肠梗阻，或药物的逾量、中毒等问题，因其症状体征可被异丙嚷的镇吐作用所掩盖。
