适应症
本品用于地方性甲状腺肿的预防与治疗，甲状腺功能亢进症手术前准备及甲状腺亢进危象。针对于小儿碘缺乏病，甲状腺功能亢进等。
用法用量
口服给药。 1.预防地方性甲状腺肿：剂量根据当地缺碘情况而定，一般100μg/日即可。 2.治疗地方性甲状腺肿：对早期患者给予1～10mg/日，连服1～3个月，中间休息30～40天。约1～2月后，剂量可渐增至20～25mg/日，总疗程约3～6个月。
不良反应
1. 过敏反应，不常见。可在服药后立即发生，或数小时后出现血管性水肿，表现为上肢、下肢、颜面部、口唇、舌或喉部水肿，也可出现皮肤红斑或风团、发热、不适。
2. 关节疼痛、嗜酸细胞增多、淋巴结肿大，不常见。
3. 长期服用，可出现口腔、咽喉部烧灼感、流涎、金属味和齿龈疼痛、胃部不适、剧烈头痛等碘中毒症状。也可出现高钾血症，表现为神志模糊、心律失常、手足麻木刺痛、下肢沉重无力。
4. 腹泻、恶心、呕吐和胃痛等消化道不良反应，不常见。
5. 动脉周围炎，类白血病样嗜酸性粒细胞增多，罕见。
禁忌
1.碘化物能通过胎盘，造成胎儿甲状腺功能异常及／或甲状腺肿大，妊娠妇女严禁应用。
2.碘化物能分泌入乳汁，哺乳易致婴儿皮疹，甲状腺功能受到抑制，故妇女哺乳期间应禁用或暂停哺乳。
3.婴、幼儿使用碘液易致皮疹，影响甲状腺功能，应禁用。
注意事项
1. 对碘化物过敏者应禁用。
2. 婴、幼儿使用碘液易致皮疹，影响甲状腺功能，应禁用。
3. 有口腔疾病患者慎用，浓碘液可致唾液腺肿胀、触痛，口腔、咽喉部烧灼感、金属味，齿和齿龈疼痛，唾液分泌增加。
4. 急性支气管炎、肺结核、高钾血症、甲状腺功能亢进、肾功能受损者慎用。
5. 应用本品能影响甲状腺功能，或影响甲状腺吸碘率的测定与甲状腺核素扫描显像结果，这些检查均应安排在应用本品前进行。
