适应症
常用于失神发作。治疗癫痫小发作。
用法用量
1．成人常用量口服。开始时0.25g，每日2次，4～7日后再增加0.25g，直到控制发作，总量可达每日1.5g。2．小儿常用量口服。6岁以下每日0.25g，4～7日后可再增加0.25g，直到控制发作，总量可达每日1g，分次服用。6岁以上小儿用量与成人同。多数小儿常用有效量为每日按体重20mg/kg。
不良反应
1.较少见的不良反应有：行为或精神状态的改变、皮疹或发痒、咽痛或发热伴粒细胞减少、红斑狼疮样淋巴结肿胀、血小板减少而致出血或瘀斑；2.持续出现需注意的不良反应；较常见的有食欲减退、呃逆、恶心或呕吐、胃部不适，较少见的有：眩晕、嗜睡、头痛、激惹或疲乏。可引起恶心，呕吐，食欲不振，腹胀，腹泻，眩晕，头痛，嗜睡，幻觉，呃逆;个别病例白细胞减少，再生障碍性贫血;可引起肝肾损害.个别出现荨麻疹，红斑狼疮样过敏反应.胃肠道副反应有恶心、呕吐、胃部不适、腹痛等，另有头痛、头昏、嗜睡乏力、共济失调、打呃、欣快。少见副反应有运动障碍、人格改变、皮疹、红斑、狼疮。血液系统反应少见(白细胞减少、伊红细胞增多症、血小板减少性紫癜、粒细胞缺乏症、再生障碍性贫血)。血中肝肾功能(SGPT、肌酐、尿素氮等数值)异常。曾有人认为本药可诱发大发作，但尚难定论。故在有大发作和小发作的混合发作的癫痫，注意合用抗大发作的癫痫药物。
禁忌
1．对琥珀酰亚胺(succinimide)类药物如甲琥胺及苯琥胺可有交叉过敏反应。2．有贫血、肝功能损害和严重肾功能不全时，用药应慎重考虑。
