适应症
主要用于单纯或复杂失神发作、肌阵挛发作，大发作的单药或合并用药治疗，有时对复杂部分性发作也有一定疗效。
用法用量
成人常用量：每日按体重15mg/kg或每日600~1200mg分次2~3次服。开始时按5~10mg/kg，一周后递增，至能控制发作为止。当每日用量超过250mg时应分次服用，以减少胃肠刺激。每日最大量为按体重不超过30mg/kg、或每日1.8~2.4g。小儿常用量：按体重计与成人相同，也可每日20~30mg/kg，分2~3次服用或每日15mg/kg，按需每隔一周增加5~10mg/kg，至有效或不能耐受为止。
不良反应
1.常见不良反应表现为腹泻、消化不良、恶心、呕吐、胃肠道痉挛、可引起月经周期改变。
2.较少见短暂的脱发、便秘、倦睡、眩晕、疲乏、头痛、共济失调、轻微震颤、异常兴奋、不安和烦躁。
3.长期服用偶见胰腺炎及急性肝坏死。
4.可使血小板减少引起紫癜、出血和出血时间延长，应定期检查血相。
5.对肝功能有损害，引起血清碱性磷酸酶和氨基转移酶升高，服用2个月要检查肝功能。
6.偶有过敏。
7.偶有听力下降和可逆性听力损坏。
禁忌
有药源性黄疸个人史或家族史者、有肝病或明显肝功能损害者禁用。 有血液病，肝病史，肾功能损害，器质性脑病时慎用。
注意事项
1.用药期间避免饮酒，饮酒可加重镇静作用；
2.停药应逐渐减量以防再次出现发作；取代其他抗惊厥药物时，本品应逐渐增加用量，而被取代药应逐渐减少用量；
3.外科系手术或其他急症治疗时应考虑可能遇到的时间延长，或中枢神经抑制药作用的增强。
4.用药前和用药期间应定期作全血细胞（包括血小板）计数、肝肾功能检查。
5.对诊断的干扰，尿酮试验可出现假阳性，甲状腺功能试验可能受影响；
6.可使乳酸脱氢酶、丙氨酸氨基转移酶、门冬氨酸氨基转移酶轻度升高并提示无症状性肝脏中毒。血清胆红素可能升高提示潜在的严重肝脏中毒。

密封，在干燥处保存。
