适应症
预防oxazaphosphrine类药物(包括异环磷酰胺、环磷酰胺、trophasfamide)引起的泌尿道毒性。在肿瘤的化疗中使用异环磷酰胺时应当同时使用美司钠。应用大剂量环磷酰胺(大于10mg/kg)和trophasfamide时，应配合使用美司钠。下列病人使用oxazaphosphrine类药物的治疗时也应配用美司钠，即曾作骨盆放射、曾使用以上三种药物治疗而治疗发生膀胱炎以及有泌尿道损伤病史者。
用法用量
剂量/用药方式和时段:除经医师指导外，成人常用量为环磷酰胺、异环磷酰胺、trophasfamide剂量的20%，时间为0时段(即应用抗肿瘤制剂的同一时间)、4小时后及8小时后的时段。
不良反应
偶尔有轻微的过敏反应，如不同程度的皮肤及粘膜反应(搔痒、红斑、水疱)?局部肿胀(风疹样水肿)。极少情形下可能会出现由急性过敏反应诱发的低血压、心跳加快(>100次/分钟或短暂的肝转氨酶升高等现象。极少数病例在注射部位出现静脉刺激。在高剂量静脉注射及口服药物的耐受性试验中，当一次使用剂量超过60mg/kg时，可出现下列反应，即恶心、呕吐、腹泻、头痛、肢体痛、血压降低、心动过速、皮肤反应、疲倦及虚弱等，在治疗期间这些症状常常难于区分其是来自oxazaphosphrine类药物、美司钠或其他药物。
禁忌
对美司钠或其他巯醇化合物有过敏者。
注意事项
自身免疫功能紊乱的患者使用美司钠发生过敏性反应的病例较肿瘤患者为多。过敏反应可能出现皮肤及粘膜反应(皮疹、风疹、粘膜疹)?肝脏转氨酶升高、发热、疲乏、恶心、呕吐等。也曾观察到低血压及心跳过速现象。对该患者应先予以正确的利害评估后才可使用美司钠，且应在医护人员的监督下应用。美司钠的保护作用只限于泌尿系统的损伤。其他肿瘤药物的治疗不应因使用美司钠而有所影响。
