适应症
麻醉期间控制性降压药。如动脉导管未闭结扎术，脑膜瘤切除术的控制性降压，小儿麻醉期间控制性降压等。
用法用量
静脉注射。0.1～0.2ml/kg。静注后1～4分钟血压开始下降，2～5分钟降至坪值，有效降压时间为8～20分钟，停药后约5分钟血压自行回升，8～20分钟恢复至原水平连续点滴时用0.05%～0.2％浓度的等渗液，开始时一般为30滴/分钟，逐渐加重100滴/分钟，最快为150滴/分钟。根据降压情况调节用药量和速度。
不良反应
1.环轮宁可致患者心率稍快或稍慢，并使瞳孔略有扩大，在停药后4～6小时可恢复，一般不影响视力。
2.环轮宁具有一定的非去极化肌肉松弛作用，使用中会影响患者的呼吸。
3.有少数患者用药后,面部和静脉注射局部呈现潮红现象。
禁忌
尚不明确。
注意事项
1.环轮宁应在气管插管和进行呼吸管理的情况下应用，这是因为一方面降低血压的情况下需要保证充分的气体交换；另一方面，环轮宁具有一定的非去极化肌肉松弛作用，使用者会出现一定程度的呼吸肌麻痹现象，在无呼吸管理的情况下，应用是不安全的。
2.环轮宁的降压效果与剂量大小、麻醉深度及用药前的血压水平均存在某种程度的正比关系。使用方法及剂量,宜根据需要降压的时间及手术的要求决定。在患者循环功能良好的情况下，若需时间在15分钟左右的低血压，可应用单次给药的方法，其剂量最好以0.25mg/kg静脉注射，作为试验剂量,然后根据病人的反应决定其剂量，原则上单剂量注射以不超过0.5～1.0mg/kg。若估计降压的时间在15分钟以上者，则用单剂量给药作降压诱导，然后以0.05%～0.2％的溶液连续静脉滴入以维持预定的降压水平，滴入的浓度和速度应根据患者的血压变化予以调整。必要时还可补以单剂量给药。当然，作为控制降压的措施本身就存在一定的危险性，所以应用时应严格掌握适应症，并且要慎重从事。
3.使用环轮宁后，若出现血压过低的情况,可静注麻黄素、阿拉明、多巴胺或50％葡萄糖升压。
4.使用环轮宁时，应保证患者在给药前及给药的过程中血容量均应正常，如有失血应予及时补足,否则会出现血压过低情况。
