适应症
对夜间哮喘病人具有极好的治疗作用。它是平喘、抗炎的首选药物.
用法用量
除去罩帽，将瓶倒置，把罩壳衔入口中，对准咽喉并在用力吸气的同时立即揿压喷雾头，药液即成雾状喷出，然后再屏气片刻，以便药液雾粒吸入附着在支气管和肺部，发挥作用。
不良反应
经鼻应用皮质激素后曾有发生鼻中隔穿孔的报道，但极为罕见，通常见于作过鼻手术的患者。与其他鼻部吸入剂一样，本品可引起鼻、喉部干燥、刺激，令人不愉快的味道和气味。鼻衄、头痛、过敏反应，包括皮疹、面部或舌部水肿曾有报道，罕有过敏性/过敏样反应和支气管痉挛的报道。长期、大剂量经鼻腔给予皮质激素可能导致全身性反应。
禁忌
对本品中任何成份有过敏史者禁用。
注意事项
昔萘酸沙美特罗气雾剂不可取代口服或吸入皮质激素药物的作用哮喘控制过程中如出现突发和渐进性恶化有可能危及生命应考虑开始进行皮质激素治疗或增加皮质激素的用药量正在使用其他预防药物（如吸入皮质激素）的病人在开始使用昔萘酸沙美特罗气雾剂时应继续使用预防药物不可停用或减量由于昔萘酸沙美特罗气雾剂起效相对较慢故不适用于急性哮喘发作患者此时应先用短效β受体激动剂昔萘酸沙美特罗气雾剂不适用于重度或危重哮喘发作患者此时应先用短效β受体激动剂对于严重或不稳定性的哮喘患者不应将支气管扩张药作为唯一的治疗手段或主要治疗手段昔萘酸沙美特罗气雾剂不适用于冠心病高血压心率失常惊厥甲状腺毒症的哮喘患者及对所有拟交感神经药物高度敏感的哮喘患者不可超过推荐剂量使用昔萘酸沙美特罗气雾剂有报道使用沙美特罗治疗后出现异常的支气管痉挛反应此类情况一旦发生须立即停药并改用其他方法治疗急性哮喘发作时可能出现血钾过低黄嘌呤衍化物激素利尿剂及低氧均会令这种情况加重此时须监测血钾浓度运动员慎用
