适应症
应用其较强的免疫抑制作用、治疗各种变态反应性炎症，各种自身免疫性疾病。由于它的主要药理作用和醋酸泼尼松(强的松)相同、因此其适应症和强的松基本相同、主要包括、1. 系统性红斑狼疮等结缔组织病。2. 肾病综合症等免疫性肾脏疾病。3. 特发性血小板减少性紫癜等免疫性病。4. 醋酸泼尼松所适用的其它疾病。
用法用量
口服。初始剂量为每天1-12片（4～48mg）?具体用量可根据病种和病情遵医嘱确定。最好于每天晨8～9时将全天剂量一次服用、以最大限度地减少对患者体内下丘脑-垂体-肾上腺轴的干扰、病情控制后应按医嘱逐渐缓慢减量。部分患者需长期用维持剂量、每日为1-2片（4～8mg）。
不良反应
类同于其它糖皮质激素，如：1. 胃肠道反应：中上腹不适，腹胀，厌食，恶心，少 数患者有可能诱发胃，十二指肠溃疡甚至并发出血，穿孔。2. 内分泌，代谢异常：长期应用可诱发内分泌异常(如类固醇性糖尿病，月经不规则，儿童生长抑制)。电解质紊乱。类柯兴氏综合征：毛发分布异常，满月脸，水牛背，皮肤紫纹，肌肉萎缩，高血压，低血钾性碱中毒。骨质疏松。肌无力。3. 神经精神异常：兴奋，失眠，轻度抑郁，嗜睡，少数可诱发头痛，颅内压升高，惊厥或精神失常。4. 眼科并发症：角膜下白内障，眼压升高及青光眼。
禁忌
1. 各种细菌性感染及全身性真菌感染者禁用。2. 对过敏者禁用。
注意事项
1. 因服用此药会使免疫系统受到抑制、故病人比健康人更易感染、应予以特别注意。2. 下列情况应慎用：心脏病或急性心力衰竭。糖尿病。憩室炎。情绪不稳定或有精神病倾向。青光眼。肝功能损害。眼单纯性疱疹。高脂蛋白血症。高血压。甲状腺功能减低。重症肌无力。骨质疏松。胃溃疡、胃炎或食管炎。肾功能损害或结石。结核病。凝血酶原减少。3. 妊娠及哺乳期妇女慎用。4. 儿童长期使用可抑制生长和发育、应慎用。5. 定期检测血压、体重、血糖和尿糖、血清电解质、大便潜血、并进行眼科检查。6. 长期、大剂量应用时、需定期追查双侧髋关节相。7. 对不能排除感染(包括结核感染者)者、应合并使用有效的抗菌药物。8. 长期大剂量用药后撤药前应进行下丘脑-垂体-肾上腺轴受抑制的检查。
